Looking to take the next step in your healthcare career? The Certified Medication Aide (CMA) program at 1st Choice Career Center prepares you to safely administer medications and assist licensed nurses in long-term care and assisted living settings.

Program Highlights:

💉 Medication Administration Training – Learn how to safely administer oral, topical, inhaled, and injectable medications (where applicable).

📘 OBON-Approved Curriculum – Fulfills the Ohio Board of Nursing requirements for medication aides.

⏳ Short-Term Training – Complete the program in just 30 hours.

🎓 Test Preparation – Includes preparation for the state-approved certification exam.

🏥 Hands-On Learning – Gain experience with real-world scenarios and supervised practice.

 

📚 What You’ll Learn:

This program is perfect for:

STNAs and Direct Care Workers looking to advance

Individuals working in assisted living or group home settings with 1 year experience

 

To qualify to this program you must:

• At least 18 years of age

• Have a HS Diploma or GED

•  Negative TB Test or screening

• Clear Physical

• Pass a Criminal Background Check

• Photo ID and Social Security Card

• CPR and First Aide Card or BLS

• Proficiency in English reading, writing, and comprehension at an 8th grade level

 Every student who wants to attend the school must first complete an application with a nonrefundable application fee.

The student must also furnish a copy of their photo ID, and social security card.  The student then will be notified by email or phone call confirm admittance into the school.

Aug 25 (HYBRID) Daytime

Week 1 MWF 8a to 3p (Online) Week 2 WTHF 7a to 330p (In-Person)

Sept 26 (HYBRID)

Week 1 MWF 8a to 3p (Online) Week 2 WTHF 7a to 330p (In-Person)

Clinicals are Thursday and Friday ONLY of week 2 7a to 330p

Cincinnati/Youngstown/Warren/Columbus Fee - $975 for CMA Day and Evening /$200 deposit is required to hold your seat.

Cleveland Fee - $975 for CMA Day and Evening /$200 deposit is required to hold your seat.
